Local lady Takako Iida runs Nozawa onsen Tours and knows Nozawa like the back of her hand. She can guide you through the local back streets while explaining the history of Nozawa or take you into the surrounding mountains to meet some of the local plant and animal life, and see the best natural sites Nozawa has to offer. Nozawa onsen tours operates all year round from snow shoe tours in winter through to mountaineering in summer.
